Version 1 · Effective 16 May 2026
⚠️ This is placeholder wording pending legal review. It is written to cover the required disclosures in plain language, not as final legal text.
1. What this covers
This statement explains what personal data LetsGo collects, why, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept. It should be read alongside the Terms & Conditions.
2. Data we collect
Account data (your email address, name, and sign-in records); your travel data (trips, segments, notices, and the people you share trips with); and the content of booking confirmations you import by email or PDF upload.
3. Why we use it
To run the service: to build your itinerary, parse imported bookings, send sign-in and trip-related email, show maps and flight status, and — in obfuscated form — to improve the parsing system (see §5).
4. Who we share it with
LetsGo shares data with the processors listed in the Terms & Conditions (§5): Anthropic, Resend, S3-compatible storage, MapTiler / Google, and — only if you connect them — TripIt and flight-status providers. Each receives only the data needed for its function.
5. The parsing corpus
To improve how LetsGo reads booking documents, the text of imported documents is retained after personal details are replaced with synthetic, non-identifiable substitutes (names, confirmation and ticket numbers, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and loyalty numbers are all replaced). This obfuscated text is used solely to develop and test parsing logic. By design it does not identify you.
6. Retention
Account and travel data is kept while your account is active and deleted when you close it. Obfuscated parsing-corpus text may be retained beyond account closure because it is non-identifiable. Raw import job records are kept only as long as needed to operate and debug the import pipeline.
7. Your choices
You can export your data from your settings, and you can close your account to delete your personal data. To make any other data request, contact the LetsGo operator. [Contact address to be completed.]
